Headquartered in Dubai, UAE, 5 Capitals has provided consultancy for a number of prominent renewables, conventional power, water and infrastructure projects in the UAE, which have been at the cutting edge of their class and technological design.
5 Capitals has had the pleasure of undertaking the ESIA studies to assist in securing international project finance and environmental regulatory approvals on Phases II, III & IV of the Mohammad bin Rashid Solar Park, the Hassyan Clean Coal IPP, FEWA CCGT (Ras Al Khaimah), EGA CCGT and SWRO expansion, Umm Al Quwain Independent Water Plant and the Taweelah Independent Water Plant (Abu Dhabi); the world’s largest desalination plant.
In addition, 5 Capitals has worked to close out lender queries to assist in securing export credit finance for the Dubai Metro – Red Line Extension to the EXPO 2020 site, as well as preparing the environmental and health & safety management plans for the contractor constructing the Sustainability pavilion at EXPO 2020.
Our Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) services have largely related to UAE based private equity firms, for whom we have been successful in identifying potential risks and opportunities on capital transactions, whilst providing road maps to enable future enhancements. Several of these enhancement measures have included the development of ESMS to ensure appropriate management controls within organisations.
5 Capitals has also worked extensively on the EIA studies for mixed-use commercial and residential land development projects, including, Dubai Hills, Dubai Design District, MBR City, Nadd Al Hamar, Al Thanya 3rd, Porto Island, Jebel Ali Development, Al Hamra Avenues, amongst others.
