5 Capitals have been engaged on several projects in Kenya, which notably included the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) relating to geothermal development in both Olkaria and Eburru. Such assessments directly with KenGen, included an array of site surveys, consultations, environmental baseline data collection and GIS mapping.

5 Capitals prepared the ESIA for the Niobium and Rare Earth Mining Development at Mrima Hill in Kwale County. This included public consultations with local communities and extensive specialist survey within the sensitive forest eco system of the plant mining development.

The associated management plans included the reforestation of the mining area and avoiding disturbance to the culturally sensitive sites. The project was approved by the Regulators.
